The coking plants production processes involves production of products as  coke, coke-oven gas, tar, benzol, ammonium sulphate, sulphuric acidand/or sulphur.
Unintended result of coking plant production process are non-products, in the past treated as a waste and disposed of by landfilling: nowadays, non-products after proper preparation are used as raw materials for preparation of coal charge and for production of carbon derivatives.

Coking plants do not generate process waste material and  the environmental requirements for the  waste management are satisfied in coking plant process.
